AcroCamp NorthEast

AcroCamp 2019

August 1-4, 2019.  Details coming soon!

AcroCamp 2018

CAMP IS FULL, REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
Are you ready for a woodsy weekend-long AcroYoga jam?

Oh, yeah! Count us in! This is our 6th AcroCamp NorthEast! It is all about community, acro and the great outdoors. We are mixing it up this year with more structured acro instruction in addition to facilitated jams, and so much play time.

Camp is located at Otis Mountain in the Adirondacks. It you have not yet been to the Adirondacks High Peaks area, you should definitely visit! Camping is rustic.  The site is large with lots of choices from camping, beside friends or off in a nook of your own. Grass for playing. Trees for slacklining. A swimming hole nearby. Firepits. Mountains to hike. Trails to bike. Stages for strutting your stuff!

CAMP DATES: Thursday August 2-Sunday August 5, 2018
3 NIGHT OPTION: after 4 pm on Thursday to Sunday 4pm
2 NIGHT OPTION: after 1pm on Friday to Sunday 4pm

WHAT WILL THE WEEKEND LOOK LIKE?
Details on specific acro offerings and times will be posted closer to the start of camp. You can expect
Morning warm-ups (yoga, etc.), a spotting workshop, other acro workshops, creativity games, group photo, slacklining classes and park
Thursday evening bonfire and roasted sweet potatoes
Friday night bonfire and s’mores
Saturday Print your own acrocamp T-shirt (or purchase a pre-printed shirt)
Saturday night Variety Show! There are prizes for participating!
Sunday afternoon we get sad and leave (2-4pm)

WHO MAKES OFFERINGS?
AcroCamp is powered by YOU! At AcroCamp we celebrate sharing knowledge and love of acro. This is a weekend for those who think that everyone has something to teach and to learn. As we get closer to the start of camp we will post more details on the offerings available. Want to share? We ask those offering a skill to lead with intention and love, and support safe play. If you would like to make an offering (acro, yoga, juggling, dancing etc.), please send us an email.

DO I NEED ACRO EXPERIENCE?
This is intended as an all-levels experience, but is not intended to be your introduction to AcroYoga. You'll have much more fun if you have experience before you arrive. You should have taken at least a few classes before camp.

WHAT DOES THE COST INCLUDE?
This cost is the price of admission to Otis Mountain and participation in this weekend event. You are responsible for your own camping gear and food preparation. If you would like to share food with others or need help with camping gear, please feel free to ask other participants on the FB page!  If you aren’t a fan of cooking while you camp, details on prepared food options (at an additional cost) are coming soon.

This is a rustic event.  There is clean water on site as well as outhouses, porta-potties and solar showers. Camp happens rain or shine. We bet that a bunch of acroyogis can figure out how to play if it rains!

WE NEED A LITTLE EXTRA HELP! - FULL
We have enough assistants to help things run smoothly!
We do need a little extra help running camp. We need a photographer/videographer, babysitter, and all around admin and site management help. If you are interested in a work-play position, please email us!

COST AND REGISTRATION
Registration is limited, so sign up now to save your spot! Payment is non-refundable and the weekend will happen rain or shine. Respect for the camp site, the environment and other participants is expected. Campers will be asked to leave if there is not respectful or dangerous. Waivers must be filled out upon arrival at camp.
